A Schizophrenic Dilemma
Dr. Vishwas or Vzx the Handy man?? This is the question I asked myself today morning. Yesterday after sleeping at 2AM in the morning, I was awakened by a call from my professor at 7AM in the morning asking me which ISP should he choose and what speed. On one hand I felt good that even my professors revert to me before making such tech decisions, but on the other hand if felt a sort of identity crisis. Who am I, A doctor or a Computer Engineer?
I’d hate to see myself waking one fine day with call from my patient asking me to come to his place right away. And when I’d reach there, I find him hale and hearty pointing to his PC and saying that it needs to be fixed… lolz. It’s nice to be computer savvy, but I think I’m too addicted to PC technology to break the habit of exploring.

Just 2 weeks back, I did not have a single clue about what CSS or PHP is. And today I am literate enough to write some good CSS documents and basic PHP scripts. Creating my own site on a Linux server also taught me some basic Linux commands, and I’m looking forward to installing and running Linux full time on my PC as a replacement to Microsoft products
So basically it’’s my thirst for knowledge that’s driving me and sometimes I just wish this thirst was more focused towards the Medical field. At this point of time I see myself as someone who will, at some time in the future, incorporate my Medical and Technological skills to bring out something very useful. For now, just wait and watch.

You should consider some form of Biomed/biotech after you come here. Those guys either end up making millions from patents or by working on Wall St. - much more than you could make as an M.D. or engineer

Let’s see where I land up after 5 years. For the time being, I just want to reach USA. Then I’ll decide on my future career prospectives. But yeah, Biomed/Biotech are also good choices… hehe
