2006 is about to get over and all I could say is that this year was a year of Open Source. Open source applications are those applications come free of cost - No strings attached. There was a great demand for open source applications all over and I’m here to discuss just one of them - Firefox
I am still surprised to find most of my friends use the buggy IE (Internet Explorer) - All for one reason - It comes bundled with Windows. Duh!!! that is the lamest excuse for not trying to find a better and secure browser. As a firm believer in open source applications; I am trying to get all my friends to shift to better, free alternatives and shall be reviewing one application every month.
Firefox is a very small but very efficient and fast alternative to IE. I’m sure there would be many reviews out there to compare Firefox with IE/Opera/Safari, etc. So If you really want to dig into the facts, feel free to compare them using online search engines. I’ll just advice you to download > Install and use the following must have plug ins for Firefox.
Download Firefox by clicking on the button below
Must Have Plug ins For Firefox
Adblock Plus - Block Ads and other banners from web pages
Image Like Opera - Allows user to specify if the browser should load images from a page.
No Script - Allows user to enable/Disable Java scripts (Enable it while browsing my site
)All in one Sidebar - Have all your configurations one click away as a handy sidebar
Better Search - Have search results from major search engines delivered
Customize Google - Remove those annoying Google text ads
Flash Block - Allows user to decide if the browser should load flash animations from page
IE Tab - Some websites are fully compatible with IE only. Fear not, you can use this plug in to open those websites
Quick Note - A small Post-It like interface to quickly jot down information
Save as Image - Save web pages as image files
Stumble Upon - A great plug in to waste your free time on. Just click the button and it will load a random page depending upon your preferences
User Agent Switcher - Probably you won’t need it much. But comes really handy in certain situations - like downloading from mega upload without installing the Alexia tool bar.
Phew!!! these are just a few of must have extensions for Firefox. If you have a great extension to share then please add a comment below.

Hey thanks to you I came to know about Firefox. And yes, it is too good. You are right in slamming Internet Explorer.
