Every now and then I have a day that qualifies as the worst day of the month. I’m glad to inform you that today was one of them. So bring on the the party hats and lets cut the cake, for I have atleast 15-20 more days to go before the cycle repeats itself.

Today was just avg in terms of behavior of my professors towards me. As usual I was generously ignored in the operation theater - That’s good actually. It helps me read the USMLE books (Boy I really need to study as much as I can). So even as they pretended that there was a break in the space-time thread around me (In short I was invisible to them), I was not allowed to leave the OT and had to do nothing as the operation was a FESS.

But then good times don’t last forever, So there was an anesthetic complication in the surgery and it took almost 5-6 hrs to complete a 20 minute procedure. I wasn’t complaining though as I had plenty of time to study. However my allergy is getting worse as the days are passing by. Yesterday I went to sleep at 2AM but was woken up at 5AM with bouts of sneezing and finally full nasal blockade. I’ve been living off Levocetrizine pills for the last couple of weeks, but it seems even the drug molecules have given up on me… hehe.

Inadequate sleep + allergic condition + plenty of studies = pretty much a worst case scenario.

I somehow managed to hold on and made it through the day, but in the evening I had to attend a party (My dad’s friend just bought a new home) and all hell broke loose. It was hosted in a lawn and with all that pollen in the air, I could barely catch a breath in between the 20-25 bouts of sneezes. I finally ate a bit and came home. This is just a quick blog entry and now I’m off to bed with a double doze of antihistamines.
