Today I received the admission letter from University of Texas at Houston. The condition for my “conditional admission”was that I had to send them my Final degree certificate. I’ll have to shoot them a mail later today mentioning that I’ll only receive my final degree certificate somewhere in March end, as there are still 28 days to go before my internship ends.
As I read the admission letter, I was in for a shock. They require me to sign an enclosed form mentioning that I have accepted the UTH admission for Fall 2007 and I will not be eligible to apply to any other university. The worst part is that I have to send that form to them by 1st March. I do not know what I am going to do as I am still awaiting the decision of Temple University, Philadelphia (I don’t need to explain why I’ll choose it if I get admission there – Philadelphia Rocks!!!).
If I sign the form then I’ll be letting go of a potential admission at Temple. So I’m in a big Dilemma. For the time being I’ll wait till 26th Feb and ask someone at Temple University about my admission. But this arrangement totally sucks. My very first application was at Temple and I’ve still not heard from them. While Houston was the last one to receive my application and They’ve already accepted me.
Bah!!! Anyway what I need to do now is to get reviews of all the three places where I’ll probably land up i.e. Houston, Birmingham or Philadelphia. If anyone has any type of reviews of these places then please share them with me… I need all the help that I can get before I decide my final destination.
