Parchaiyaan (Shadows) - Part 1

Our band “Cochlear Tempest” had been working very hard in the early days april to compose our first original song - “Parchiyaan (Shadows)“. They were fun times - esp the night rehearsals at Ujjawals’s terrace till 1 AM and then talking below till 2AM in the night until his neighbors would come in their balconies and give us that look (which usually meant “beat it or we call the cops”).

I intended to write the whole story in a single go, but as it is evident - the writing never finished and I kept on delaying the post till today (when our video was posted online on you-tube). I’ve finally decided to write the post in a mini series which could be in almost 5-6 parts depending upon the inputs I receive from the other band members.

Other reason being that I’m aeging like anything and just cant remember things as I used to about 1 week ago :lol: . I wonder if it is due to my new found interest in heavy metal - the head banging is giving me severe concussions. Just yesterday I woke up sleeping next to a dog - I can only tell if anything went wrong after a period of 4-8 weeks (I’m told that is the gestation period of dogs). Mental note to myself - check the sex of the dog :grin: . In case you’re still reading, the gist of the above paragraph was that I cant remember all the stuff we did during our practice sessions and will post it in future posts (as and when my memory comes back).

The video and audio quality is not that good, but once again we are not that good either (I’m joking - We’re damn good :cool: ). Now we’re busy with preparing for an official studio recording of the song and hopefully that should be ready by june end.

I’ll put up more songs and videos of our previous performances on youtube or on my gallery. I’m told that Dhwanil (our rhythm guitarist) is gonna give me the tapes sometime next week. So add another 1 week for the encoding and I’ll probably upload it by mid june (All times are acc to IST - which usually means “check the site in mid-july :razz: )
