Obama Wins

I’m not particularly known for my interest in politics but this one is definitely worth a mention.  I’ve been following American politics for a little more than 4 months but it’s even more murkier than our Indian counterpart. A record outpouring of Democratic voters gave Barack Obama a historic victory last night with 38 percent support, while John Edwards, with 29.8 percent, barely edged out Hiliary Clinton, who finished third at 29.5 percent. What surprises me is his election from a state (Iowa) with more than 95% white population which is known for its orthodox values. For the uninformed, Obama is an African American (in the literal sense) with a muslim Nigerian father and a christian white mother.
