As I mentioned in my earlier post “Fortune Cookie”, I’ve got my work cut out for me - a couple of research projects, papers to publish and most importantly my USMLE step 2 studies. Not to mention a few “projects” I’m taking up to learn some CSS designing (esp to spice up my blog) with an aim to port an existing wordpress theme into a K2 style. For starters, I’m going to begin with a long overdue task that I’ve been wanting to do since early 2007. Changing my passwords across the board.
Yes, it seems like a menial task but consider this - I’m a registered member of atleast 40 (at last recall) different sites/forums, I’ve got 8 email accounts, 4 banking accounts and 4 website databases. It will atleast take me 3-4 hrs to complete this task. Some may ask why bother? Well because when I was a noob in the computer world, my passwords were very obvious and anyone could guess them. As I progressed through the years, my passwords became more complex but I ended up having a myriad of different combinations that obfuscates my gray cells on several occasions. So I’ve come up with a 27 character alphanumeric key that will server as a master password for most of my accounts. I hope it will be tough to crack
