Here I am, sitting on my desk at Center for Obesity Research and Education (C.O.R.E.), Temple university located in the north Philly neighborhood - which is not exactly the best place to be in town. I considered myself safe commuting via subway and it saved a lot of time too… I guess I was in for a bit of luck today because there was a freak incident involving gun shooting at the very stop I get off for work.
I missed it (luckily) only by a minute or two because I just got off the subway and went into the office when I heard police sirens and choppers rush to the scene. Saved in the nick of time..
