Incongruous Balderdash

I started this blog about a year ago with the sole purpose of jotting down some whacky geeky mumbo jumbo that came to my mind and more so as a way to channel my, mostly perverse, thoughts into a central location and keeping friends, family and foes updated on what it is like being John Malkovich (sans the twisted ending).

Jumping forward to this day, my writings have progressed to a more serious, if not mature, tone reflecting my immediate and sometimes remote environment. While I struggle to adapt to such sudden and serious change in my subconscious, I need to point out that my funny side is still alive. This is where my blog shears into two seemingly parallel but undoubtedly interrelated dimensions - one where I’m learning important lessons of life and one where I try to break free of norms.

One of my old school friend, Kushal Bharadwaj (a.k.a. Maverick), has his own blog (which, sadly, is not being updated very regularly) with a tag line - “Non-conformity & Eccentricity rocks…!”. Pausing for a minute and thinking about it, I believe in those same words as Maverick correctly points out. Its all about getting free from the conforming norms of the society - an ideological nirvana which, if practiced in real life, would certainly lead to a downward spiral to Styx or Nieflheim. Yet, I choose, to live in this legacy, atleast on paper (electronic in this case).

Life is not always apples and oranges and there needs to be an outlet for all the frustrations. I try to channel all of them into humor and present them in such a way that people can relate to them and have a laugh or two. It never hurts to make people laugh, at least not unless they have hernia.

These emotional deflections come at a price, which, in this case, is the incoherence of my thoughts as penned down on my blog. Rather than keeping my whimsical and sensible personalities asunder, I will continue to force them to cohabit. This will and should inadvertently result in a big balderdash of amusing episodes and blog entries, which, I hope, will be amusing to read back upon someday.

To sum up, “Scribble Pad” will now be known as “Incongruous Balderdash” reverberating the incoherent and incongruent nonsense (and yet meaningful in a strange bearing)  that I have and will be jotting down in the future. And yes, This is not an April Fools Joke. The long awaited blog name change is finally here.
