In my final days in India, I wrote a recipe for Palak Paneer (Spinach) which was “mocked” by a certain fellow called nai. So I thought I’d reciprocate with a genuine recipe which was taught to me by one of my Rajasthani Friends. It just takes 10 minutes to prepare and 5 min to cook and you have a delicious recipe at hand. If you’re still interested in learning about the recipe, read on..

Here’s my genuine 5 Step Cooking Recipe for Aaloo Palak (Spinach Potato):

Ingredients:
Spinach – 400 gm
Potato – 3 medium sized
Onions – 1 large
Turmeric, Chili powder, Cumin seed powder, Cumin seeds, salt, Ginger-Garlic paste.

Step 1: Chop spinach, potatoes into medium sizes and onions into small sizes.

Step 2: Pour oil (20 ml) into a pressure cooker and heat on medium wave. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and heat till they pop (I hope you get what I mean)

Step 3: Now add finely chopped onions and cook till they turn light brown.

Step 4: Now add potatoes, cumin powder, turmeric, salt and ginger garlic paste and let it cook for 3 min.

Step 5: Finally add the chopped Palak (Spinach) to the cooker, close the lid and wait till you hear 2 whistles.

Wola!!! there you have it… a culinary masterpiece.
