I'm glad to know that and wish you good luck with your job.

I don't say that I know everything. Technology is not my career, it is my interest. I do read articles/review online, try to infer and post my 2 cents about it online. I'm sorry if you did not like my style of writing but I cannot change what I write. Evey one has an opinion and clearly you are opinionated against me. I can't change that - so I'll live with that.

Oh my dear conceited man, i'm implying ignorance on your side, not mine. I design these algorithms in the first place.

@TechieGirl

I'm sorry if you did not understand what I meant. I try to be as simple when writing blog posts without going into details about tech stuff. If you want to know more about image processing algorithms , then visit some wiki pages.

FYI the specs of both the cams are the same - 5 MP, carl zeiss lens, same focal length, etc. When you take a closer look at the images taken from both the cams in daylight(because N82 outshines in night shots), the N82 pictures have more true life colors and less distortion (or fuzziness) of shapes. This is because the engineers at nokia tweaked the camera software (on N82) for better processing of data. Of course, none could beat the details captured by a stand alone 5 MP camera because they (the phones) compress the images too much for details to be maintained. I hope this gives you sufficient information.

Anyway, I'm playing the wait and watch game right now. Will probably buy the Nokia 5800 (aka Tube) when it comes out early next year.

hmmm, people think throwing around words like "candy bar form factor", "The image processing algorithm" is smart. How about an explanation of the image processing algorithm involved? Maybe that would impress someone

Unfortunately my GF talked me down on the whole deal. I'm not going for the new phone anymore (atleast for the time being). Maybe next month. Keep a look out.
